Field Scouts (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is a mobile application that helps travel baseball families navigate Georgia baseball complexes. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

By using Field Scouts, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Location Data

Field Scouts requests access to your device's location to show nearby baseball complexes and help you navigate to fields. Location data is used only on your device in real time — we do not store, transmit, or share your precise location with our servers or any third party. You can deny location permission and still browse all parks manually.

Feedback and Suggestions

If you choose to submit a park suggestion or report an issue, we collect the message text you provide and, if applicable, the park it relates to. This is stored in our database and sent to our support email so we can follow up. Submission is entirely voluntary.

Usage Data

We do not currently use analytics, crash reporting services, or advertising SDKs. We do not collect device identifiers, browsing behavior, or usage statistics.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To show you baseball complexes near your current location
• To respond to park suggestions and issue reports you submit
• To improve the accuracy and coverage of park data

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

Field Scouts uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Supabase — cloud database and file storage for park data and satellite photos. See supabase.com/privacy.
• Google Maps SDK — provides the interactive map on Android. Google's privacy policy governs data collected by the Maps SDK.
• OpenStreetMap — park location data is sourced in part from OpenStreetMap contributors under the Open Database License. No personal data is shared with OpenStreetMap.

5. Data Storage and Security

Park data, satellite photos, and voluntarily submitted feedback are stored on Supabase servers. We implement row-level security policies to restrict data access. No payment information is collected or stored by Field Scouts.

6. Children's Privacy

Field Scouts is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information through the app, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Your Rights

You may request deletion of any feedback or suggestions you have submitted by contacting us at the email below. Because we do not create user accounts for regular users, we do not retain personal profiles tied to individuals.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
